Entry and Customs
For travelling into Germany, EU citizens (from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) will need a valid identity card or passport
Citizens from the following other countries can enter Germany with a valid passport: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bermudas, Bolivia, Brasil, Brunai, Bulgaria, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Canada, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela.
Citizens from all other countries will need to apply for a visa.
Currency
The currency in Germany is the Euro (€). One Euro is worth 100 Euro-Cents.
Language
German is the spoken language in Germany, with numerous dialects in the different regions of the country.
Climate
In May, the climate may already be sunny and warm like in early summer (20 degrees celcius and more), but it may also be cold, windy and rainy. So it is advisable to watch the internaitonal weather forecast before packing your suitcase! BACK TO TOP
