Abstracts IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE ONLY on HPH-related good and best practice, concepts and research may be submitted for
•••• oral presentations (presentations of 10-15 minutes)
•••• oral mini-presentations (3-5 minutes oral presentations)

The Scientific Committee would especially like to invite papers with a focus on one of the main conference topics, on topics related to HPH task forces, or on specific additional topics:
MAIN CONFERENCE TOPICS:
•••• What determinants of health inequalities can be successfully tackled by health and social services?
•••• Examples for tackling health inequalities throughout the life span
•••• Tackling inequalities in the healthcare work force
•••• Joint action for reducing causes and conseqences of health inequalities: Corporate social responsibility and beyond
TOPICS OF HPH TASK FORCES and working groups:
•••• Tackling inequalities in health promoting psychiatric health care services and mental health
•••• Tackling inequalities for children and adolescents in and by hospitals
•••• Tackling inequalities related to migration and diversity
•••• Tackling inequalities in Smoke-Free Hospitals and Health Services
•••• Tackling inequalities in health care financing, e.g. in the DRG system
•••• Linking HPH core strategies and standards to tackling inequalities in health
ADDITIONAL TOPICS:
•••• Reaching out into communities to tackle health inequalities
•••• HPH networking and lobbying
•••• Global health and inequalities
•••• Secondary prevention and inequalities
All papers received until January 10, 2010 will be screened by the Scientific Committee.
Criteria for the selection of contributions are:
•••• their originality
•••• their explicit link to conference topics
•••• their relation to principles of health promotion (described as being empowering, participatory, holistic, intersectoral, equitable, sustainable, and multi-strategy)
•••• the availability of evaluation data / evidence
•••• the explicit relation to HPH strategies and standards for HP in hospitals.
You will be informed about the decision of the Scientific Committee until February 10, 2010.
