Decision to cancel the IC 2020:
Dear all,
Finally, we can inform you about the definite status of the International Conference on Health Promoting Hospitals and Health Services (HPH) 2020. We are sorry for the long uncertainty and that no information and details could be communicated up to now and thank you for your patience.
Now, the HPH Governance Board, the Korean HPH Network and the International Conference Secretariat decided to cancel the International HPH Conference planned for 2020 in Seoul, Korea, as a result of the still acute challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
After much considerations and great efforts by the Korean host to make the event possible, the continuing uncertainties due to Covid-19 finally led to this regrettable ultimate step concerning the conference that was originally planned for June 2020 and then already postponed to October. This is a hard decision for all of us but we think it is unfortunately a necessary one, in view of the still acute challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and to provide clarity and certainty for all stakeholders involved. Thus, we would first like to express our thanks to the colleagues from the Korean HPH Network who tried very hard to find a workable solution under the given circumstances.
Second, we would like to already announce the upcoming International HPH Conference, which will take place in Paris, France from October 27-29, 2021. This conference is planned as a hybrid event, which allows both in-person and virtual participation.
Planning and preparations are underway and you are all welcome to participate to this event. As soon as the call is open, we will be happy to inform you about details.

Dear all,The HPH Governance Board, the Korean local host and the International HPH Conference Secretariat are pleased to announce the new date planned for the 28th International Conference on Health Promoting Hospitals and Health Services. The scheduled date for the conference in Seoul, Korea, will be 19-21 October, 2020.We sincerely hope that by postponing the conference we have acted in the interest of all the participants and can thus jointly contribute to delaying the spread of Covid-19. Nevertheless, the dynamic developments around Covid-19 require a constant reassessment of the situation. For this reason, the final decision on whether the October date can be kept will be made and announced in due time before the registration opens.Please save the new date 19-21 October, 2020. Dear abstract submitters,Since we do not know if and when the conference will take place and the whole situation has bound a lot of our resources, we ask for your understanding that we are not able to let you know the final result of the abstract screening at the moment. We will forward this information to you as soon as possible. Dear all,With the current situation in Korea involving the COVID-19 outbreak, we want to let you know that we are tracking the situation closely to determine how we will proceed with this year’s conference. Though the amount of daily confirmed cases is decreasing, the situation here is still worrisome and many countries have implemented travel bans on South Korea.
