HPH Summer School – Hands-on implementation of health promotion in health care
Date: Tuesday May 28th, 2019
Time: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Venue: Golden Floor, al. Jerozolimski Street 123a, Warsaw, Poland
This year’s Summer School offers the participant hands-on insight on how to conduct implementation of health promotion activities in a clinical setting.
Person-centered health promotion benefits patients, staff and communities. The focus is on interventions for smoking, alcohol, nutrition and physical activity delivered in health care settings. Today, and when implemented, this is often an element of the treatment itself, which improves outcomes and prevents additional disease, such as NCDs.
But implementation is not an automatic process. As such, new evidence takes a long time to become of benefit to patients and staff. This applies to evidence and good practices in clinical health promotion too, causing slow and fragmented implementation in many places.
During this ONE-day HPH Summer School, participants will get to dive into the topic of implementation in the health care setting with a hands-on approach. The presenters and facilitators of the school are all from the Clinical Health Promotion Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, and have long standing expertise in this area. Together with participants, and in a mix of presentations and workshop sessions, the scientific literature on clinical health promotion will be explored along with implementation tools/models for health care. Also, specific focus will be given to the practical issues related to implementation of health promotion within specific patient pathways.
The HPH Summer School is open to all interested health care professionals and the registration fee includes coffee, snacks, beverages and lunch.
Price for the one-day school (incl. VAT, lunch and refreshments): €120
