CALL FOR ABSTRACTS CLOSED!

To submit your abstract, please log into the system via the login in the upper right corner of this website. You can use the username and password you have created for one of the previous conferences. If you do not have a username you can create a new profile via clicking "Create a new login".

When logged in, click on "Abstract submission" and then on abstracts. Should you have already submitted abstracts earlier, you will find a list of all accepted abstracts here. Scroll to the bottom and click on "Create new abstract" to open the abstract submission form.

Prolonged Deadline for abstract submission is February 4, 2018. Submitters will be informed about the acceptance of their abstracts until March 30, 2018.

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE ONLY on HPH-related good and best practices, concepts and research may be submitted for 

  • Oral presentations (presentations of 10-15 minutes)
  • Mini oral (pitch) presentations (presentations 3-5 minutes)
  • (E-) poster presentations
  • Workshop / Symposium / Round Table Discussion (primarily for HPH Task Forces, Working Groups, WHO-CCs and Conference Co-Organizers, a session of 90 minutes)

Types of abstracts that may be submitted are 

  • Research abstracts
  • Policy abstracts
  • Best practice abstracts
  • Training and education abstracts (for workshop/symposium/round table discussion)

Submitters are invited to select their preferred type of presentation. Abstracts submitted for oral or oral mini presentation, if not suitable for the chosen categories, may be considered for oral mini or poster presentation if the quality allows.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Abstracts should be subdivided into:
    • Background/Problem/Objective (mandatory)
    • Methods/Intervention (mandatory)
    • Results (of evaluation) (mandatory)
    • Conclusions / Lessons learned (mandatory)
    • maximum 6 keywords (not mandatory)
  • Abstracts may not contain more than 2.000 characters (including blanks) in the 4 mandatory fields.
  • Abstracts may not contain tables, graphics or special characters.

SCREENING OF ABSTRACTS

All abstracts received until February 4, 2018 will be screened by the Scientific Committee. The review criteria are as follows:

Each abstract will be reviewed by 2-3 experts from the Scientific Committee and scored on the basis of the following criteria: 

  • Does the abstract follow the guidelines, i.e. abstract format?
  • Is the subject matter appropriate for the HPH Conference?
  • Is the information new enough and innovative?
  • Is the overall quality of the abstract sufficient?
  • Is the methodology adequate or sufficient to support conclusions?
  • If applicable, is the design of the study appropriate?
  • Do data adequately or sufficiently offer support for conclusions?
  • Does the information have relevance for the international as well as national and regional HPH Networks and Task Forces?

All submitters will be informed about the decision of the Scientific Committee latest by March 30, 2018.
